Jeff Koinange is currently host of the popular and controversial Talk Show, Jeff Koinange LIVE #JKL, broadcast on Kenya's Television Network, KTN.

Jeff is one of the most successful reporters to originate from Africa. During his tenure as CNN's Africa Correspondent, his journalistic reach was just as influential beyond the continent. In 2005, he was part of CNN's Peabody Award-winning team that covered the devastation wreaked on New Orleans by Hurricane Katrina.

He is the first black African journalist to be prominently featured on international network television, and at CNN Jeff cemented his reputation as one of the most accomplished journalists of our time.

Jeff's work has been recognised internationally with numerous awards. In 2005 he became the first African to win an Emmy Award, for coverage of the devastating famine in the West African nation of Niger. He was also awarded The 2006 Prix Bayeaux for War Correspondents for reporting on the civil war in the Congo.

Having interviewed numerous public figures, Jeff makes interviewing look effortless but the subject is always treated with integrity and credibility. Jeff is also a keen and energetic Master of Ceremonies and has hosted numerous bilateral and multilateral events for the African Development Bank, the World Health Organization, the UN Economic Commission of Africa, the East African Community, the African Union and various United Nations agencies.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from New York University.
