Founder of Avoided Deforestation Partners and Co- Producer, Years of Living Dangerously series, episodes 1 and 2

Jeff Horowitz is co-producer and story consultant for the Emmy Award-winning climate change documentary series ‘Years of Living Dangerously.’ For the series, Jeff recruited actor/conservationist Harrison Ford to serve as the ‘correspondent’ on two powerful episodes about the climate impacts of deforestation – specifically tied to palm oil production.

Jeff is currently an Executive Producer of a soon-to-be-announced, high-profile climate solutions documentary film. This full-length movie project is being directed by Charles Ferguson, who won the 2010 Academy Award for ‘Inside Job’. In his new role as a climate change media producer, Jeff is collaborating with the U.S.-based PBS NewsHour, The Weather Channel, and Germany’s ZDF Television, among others.

Jeff is the founder of Avoided Deforestation Partners (, a global network of prominent individuals who are dedicated to advancing U.S. and international climate policies, with a particular focus on ending deforestation.

Prior to establishing AD Partners, Jeff was an internationally-recognised architect and a leading advocate for progressive urban and economic development policies. He directed scores of large-scale architectural projects in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Latin America.
